Boîte Flacons Vanity Case — Monogram
Private Clients receive first access to new acquisitions in your size and favorite houses.
Louis Vuitton began in 1854 as a trunk-maker, and the house's hard-sided pieces remain the clearest line back to that origin — objects built to protect their contents first and be admired second. The Boîte Flacons carries that trunk-making logic into something small enough to hold in one hand: a rigid vanity case designed specifically around the bottle, with the Monogram canvas Georges Vuitton introduced in 1896 wrapped over a structured frame.
Monogram coated canvas over a rigid body, trimmed in natural Vachetta leather and fitted with brass hardware, a Vachetta top handle and a latch lock at the front. The lid flips open to reveal an internal mirror pocket, and a removable inner tray — set with its own small mirror — lifts out to expose the compartment beneath, where elastic and leather loops hold perfume bottles and cosmetic vials upright and secure in transit.
It reads less as an accessory than as a piece of the house's own history in miniature — a trunk scaled down to the size of a ritual, and one of the few Louis Vuitton objects where the Vachetta is meant to darken and record its years rather than stay pristine. As much at home on a dressing table as in a suitcase.
