The Vault NYC is a one-of-one luxury house: guaranteed-authentic excess designer inventory — around 90% brand-new — sourced through wholesale partners from major authorized retailers across Europe and the US, with Tokyo partners for fine jewelry, Hermès, and rare pieces. Not a traditional consignment reseller. Authenticated by hand, and held in Manhattan.
How we got here
A desk, a leap of faith
Christopher launched CBLUXNYC from his apartment desk in December 2022. Banking had been the practical path; fashion was the lifelong love he could never ignore — the construction of a garment, the way a designer's vision evolves across a decade. The test case quickly proved something real.
All in — the same week
When the opportunity came to build something together, Christopher and Kevin took it. They got married and went all in the same week. CBLUXNYC became The Vault NYC.
Tokyo — the education
The first thing they did was fly to Tokyo. Not to celebrate — to learn. The Japanese market for luxury is the most developed in the world: the reverence for craft, the infrastructure around authentication, the standard applied to every transaction. They came home knowing exactly what The Vault NYC had to be.
To the source — Barcelona
The pieces were in Europe; so, they decided, they should be too. Moving to Europe wasn't lifestyle — it was strategy: get to the source, and get direct. On March 1, 2025, they relocated to Barcelona and opened the Manhattan warehouse the same day, trading the New York life they'd built for real access at the origin of the inventory. The hardest thing they'd done, and the best decision they'd ever made.

Living in Europe put the business at the origin of the inventory. Being there — not ordering from across an ocean — opened direct relationships with the wholesale partners who move authorized-retailer overstock across Spain, France, Italy, and Tokyo — guaranteed-authentic excess designer inventory, mostly brand-new, that reaches us at wholesale long after it first hit the floor.
There's no bulk order and no traditional restock. Occasionally the network surfaces the same style in a different size or color, but nothing is guaranteed to return.
