Suede Blouson Jacket — Cinnamon, Size IT 40 / US 4

Miuccia Prada has spent recent Miu Miu seasons working through the most conservative jackets in the wardrobe — the club blazer, the varsity, the car coat — and recutting them until they look borrowed by someone younger and less careful than their original owner. This blouson takes the aviator as its source. The shirt collar, the flapped patch pockets and the knitted waistband all come straight from the flight jacket, but the hide is a lightweight lambskin suede rather than stiff horsehide, so the shape folds and falls instead of standing up on its own. The house frames it as an '80s-inflected aviator with a summery weight, which is the whole point: a leather jacket built for the months a leather jacket usually goes back in the closet.

The suede is finished with a final waxing that deepens the cinnamon tone and leaves a soft, uneven bloom across the surface — lighter where the hide creases at the seams and pocket edges, richer through the body. A silver-tone zip runs the front beneath a placket closed with dark horn-effect buttons at the collar and the hem. Two deep flap pockets sit low on the front, each buttoned, with a vertical hand-warmer slit set behind it. A yoke overlay crosses each dropped shoulder, the lettering logo is embossed in relief at the left chest, and the cuffs and waistband are finished in ribbed virgin-wool knit.
