Piqué Poplin Evening Shirt — Optical White, Size 42 / XL
Private Clients receive first access to new acquisitions in your size and favorite houses.
Tom Ford built his label on the proposition that formalwear should be the most seductive thing a man owns rather than the most dutiful. The evening shirt is where that argument reads clearest, and style 65341 is the house version: cotton poplin with a piqué chest panel and piqué trims, cut slim rather than generous, drawn from the strictest corner of the dress code and engineered to be worn well past it.
The body is 100% cotton poplin in optical white with a textured piqué panel across the chest and piqué trims, a button-fastening front tab, button cuffs, and a curved hem that runs longer at the back. Midweight and cut slim, it measures 22½ inches pit to pit, 30¾ inches shoulder to hem and 36 inches sleeve from the neck point — a 16½ collar, sized 42, which is an XL in Tom Ford's own progression. New without tags.
Most designer shirts are bought to be noticed. This one is bought to disappear correctly, which is harder and rarer: under a dinner jacket it does exactly what an evening shirt should, and open at the collar with tailored trousers it still reads Ford rather than uniform.
