This one is cut from 100% cotton twill in Elm, a deep olive green, and closes with a full-length zip finished with a calf leather pull. Contrast topstitching outlines the seams and pockets. Inside, the body is lined in a 60% cupro, 40% cotton twill with a soft sheen, the sleeves are lined in cupro so the jacket slides easily over a shirt or a knit, and the pockets are lined in cotton. A Tom Ford label patch sits inside. Made in Italy.

Read it as the field jacket put through a tailor: the colour and ease of military surplus, finished the way Ford finishes a dinner jacket. It works over a T-shirt or a fine-gauge knit, and in olive it sits easily alongside navy, grey and brown. Size IT 48 (US 38).
