Cropped Jumbo Bauhaus Stooges Vest — Black, One Size

Rick Owens builds clothing like architecture, and the Bauhaus Stooges is one of his most sculptural statements. From the Spring/Summer 2025 "Hollywood" collection, it takes the house's moto vocabulary and blows it up in scale — a jumbo, oversized biker rendered sleeveless and cropped high above the hip.

Substantial canvas in 70% recycled polyester and 30% cotton, fully lined in cotton, structured enough to stand away from the body and matte and dry to the hand. An off-centre zip cuts diagonally across the double-breasted front beneath a wide island collar. A cascade of zippered pockets runs across the front, snap epaulettes sit at the shoulders, and a removable pin-buckle belt cinches the cropped hem. Made in Italy.

It is a layering piece that refuses to disappear — open over a tee, buckled over a knit, or thrown across the shoulders as pure silhouette. Sleeveless and cropped, it does the opposite of what a biker jacket is supposed to do, which is exactly the Owens move: take a familiar object, strip it to its hardest lines and hand it back as something to build a whole look around.
