Brad Coat — Black, Size IT52

The architectural side of Rick Owens. The Brad is the house's clean, elongated overcoat — spare, severe, and stripped of ornament — here rendered for Spring/Summer 2025 in black.
It's cut from heavyweight virgin-wool melton woven in a diagonal twill, then tumbled and brushed for a dense, soft hand. A spread collar and button front frame dropped shoulders; seam pockets sit flush to the line, the sleeves are satin-lined, and the closure runs on buffalo-horn buttons. 
This is Owens at his most restrained — outerwear that reads as silhouette first, detail second. The weight makes it a true cold-weather coat rather than a runway gesture, and the length does the work: it elongates and drapes without a single embellishment to pull focus from the cut.
