Campo Leather Boat Shoe — Black/Brown

Jonathan Anderson's Loewe entered footwear with the same conviction it brought to leather goods: that the most considered object is the one with the clearest purpose. The Campo Boat Shoe is the purest expression of that thesis in the men's footwear category — a hand-sewn calfskin boat shoe built on the classic deck-shoe silhouette rather than reinventing it, with the house's own proportions doing the differentiating work.

Very soft calfskin upper with full leather lining, hand-sewn at the vamp in the traditional boat-shoe method. Loewe's signature round toe shape — slightly squared at the tip — replaces the usual moccasin point. Squared leather laces run in tonal brown against the black upper, a padded leather insole carries an embossed LOEWE logo, and a flexible leather outsole is set with rubber island injection at the tread for grip. Black and brown two-tone.

Anderson's Loewe has approached the classic shoe categories the way it has approached everything else in the house: with technical precision and without reverence for the original form.
