Labyrinth Monogram League Nylon Belt Bag — Black/Beige

Pierre Balmain began working with his PB initials in the mid-1960s, and by 1970 the interlocking monogram, the Labyrinth, was running across the house's bags, luggage and couture. Olivier Rousteing brought it back as a house signature for AW21, and much of the revival has been woven: a cotton jacquard belt bag, jacquard duffels, the pattern built into the cloth. The League belt bag does something different. It prints the maze onto nylon in black, beige and warm brown, so the monogram reads as a graphic surface rather than a textile, and it pairs the print with a studded plaque lettered "Balmain Paris 1945" in place of a woven label.

The print runs edge to edge on nylon with a slight sheen that holds the light without turning loud. A gold-studded plaque sits at center front. Around it the bag opens into two zip compartments, a main body and a front zip pocket, so small items stay separated instead of collapsing into one pouch. The adjustable waist strap closes with a clasp, and the hardware throughout is dark and tonal, which leaves the gold studs on the plaque to carry the shine. It sits at the waist as a true belt bag, and the strap lets it be slung cross-body.

Read quickly, this is a couture-house logo bag and a technical waist pack at once: archive monogram on one side, nylon utility on the other. The Labyrinth loses its salon formality here and behaves like a sportswear label's repeat, which is why the bag works as a daily carry. It is a heritage code sold as streetwear, with a black-and-beige palette restrained enough to pass as a neutral. One size.
